Veg-table was born in the summer of 2008, when Stephanie Knight asked her husband - an experienced builder - to create a way for her to grow vegetables at a comfortable height. After a few nights in the workshop the end result was the world's first Veg-Table.

The first veg-table's were launched at Priory Farm Garden Centre (Reigate, Surrey) in 2008, and included the 500mm, 1000mm and 2000mm versions.

Since the first veg-table's hit the market 2 years ago, the range has been expanded to include two new tables. Both are 1500mm wide, but one is a junior version, with a lowered height for easy access for children.

The junior veg-table has proved to be a hit with primary schools for accessible and slightly less grubby gardening where green space is lacking.
